Joey Miller Tribute

Yes folks, I know, it's bout damn time I start throwing a little love the direction of up and coming race car/truck driver, Joey Miller... doesn't hurt I have direct connections to him
either...But seriously, I have made it a mission in my life to educate anyone I come into contact with about the finer points of Joey Miller! Welcome to The Joey Miller Bar aka Remington's... we may be small, but mighty, and anxious for the season to start! Joey is a 20 yr old, coming out of his rookie year in ARCA only to be asked by The Darrell Waltripp to take over driving the #12 Craftsman truck! Yeaaaaaaa Joey! Joey took the most Pork poles last season (not bad for a rookie) and finished the year, 2nd in points behind a 7 time champ! So if you haven't already started there... Joey's bio link is on the right there.. and I'm adding a link to his message boards.. we'd love to have ya there!
All things bridal...
All I can say is thank heavens for bridal expos!!!! It's like one giant meeting with all the florists, cake decorators, caterers and dress shops in one! I officially booked the caterer, picked the florist, and am 90% sure I found the place to have it all take place at! (Need to take Bobby to look at them all) I am soooo glad my friend Donna was here to go with me! I even found a cake maker to make the groom's cake, a stock car!
What A Day...
Dad's surgery was yesterday... and I did not sleep at all the night before, in fact I was up vomiting all night. I know it was just nerves over dad's surgery. he had total disc replacement done on L2-5, but this was his 5th spinal surgery, so they couldn't open him u again from the back. They had to open him from the front, move his intestines out of the way and then work on his spine. He's got Congestive Heart Failure, and had a triple bypass, so we knew this was risky, but the alternative was the discs collaposing and killing him within 2 months. Mom and I took him to the hospital, and he went into surgery around 11:30. The spinal surgeon came out and talked to us around 4, and said that he was going to recovery and should be in his room in about an hour. We had to stay in the waiting room, and then someone would call and tell us what room he was going to be in. Around 5 someone called and said they had just gotten him in recovery (ok so that seemed odd to us) and for us to go to his room and he'd be there in about an hour. We went up to his room and watched the time... 6:15 rolled around, and we're like where is he? Then 6:30, then 7 At 7:15 they finally wheeled him in. The nurse started hooking him up to an oxygen pump and leg compressors and I was like.. what took so long? She told us that he had stopped breathing in recovery and it had taken them 2 minutes to resusitate him. Mom and I just sat there looking at each other. I've been so stressed over this surgery. So that's where I've been. I'm going to cut this entry a bit short as I've got to get up to the hospital. Judy I'll text ya sometime this afternoon...
